Kinja'd!!!

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is unfolding right near me. I'm terrified. Like, I was just there an hour ago and my house is within minutes. I have double checked that everything is locked and put on the extra burgler locks, but I still feel unsafe. I'm going to try and watch some motor week to take my mind off of it, and then try to sleep.

I spoke to my dad, who is the US Marshall for the eastern district of PA. Most of his guys are out there looking for him. From the looks of things, he probably is just after relatives of his ex-wife. So, if you aren't related to her, I wouldn't be super worried. If you are, I certainly hope you have a gun.

This is good to know. Not related in anyway. Thanks for that.

Still, keep your guard up, and keep your doors locked, just to be safe.

You'll be more than fine, trust me.

Definitely. I've double checked the cars and all the doors and windows. Hopefully they find him by tomorrow morning.

Doors locked, lights on, shades drawn. You'll be alright, guy's putting on some perverted revenge act, not just inflicting random carnage.

No offense, but if he is going to target a house, to possibly steal a getaway car, I doubt he would target one with an Odyssey or a Leaf, those should be enough to deter him.

This kinda reminds me of the DC Sniper back in 2002. Definitely a scary situation

Stay safe, but you shouldn't be in really any danger.

Think about this logically. If he was targeting random people, there's no reason he'd be breaking into random houses to do it. He'd be in a public spot with lots of randoms, where he'd be pinned down pretty quickly because law enforcement would know exactly where he is. If he was breaking into homes, he either would be met with the occupant's gun or else would be interrupting their 911-calls, in which case he wouldn't make it very far before being shot or law enforcement figuring out where he was.

Sure stay indoors, and keeping them locked isn't the worst idea, but the chances of anything happening to you are less than infinitesimally small. Yeah, it's scary, but there's not all that much to worry about. You're getting yourself worked up over something that won't really affect you in the long run, cause you'll effectively forget it ever happened in a couple weeks.
